How to join, step by step

  1. Open the link in your invitation. You don’t need to install Teams, because it works in a browser (Chrome or Edge works best). If you prefer the app, download it in advance from Microsoft’s official site.
  2. Enter your name correctly: your three-part name in Arabic plus your Study in Saudi application number. The invitation gives this example: محمد خالد محمد - 202600156678. Use your own name, your father’s name and your grandfather’s name, written as in your application.
  3. Join on time and wait in the lobby. The university warns the wait can be anywhere from 0 to 60 minutes while the previous student finishes. Don’t leave and rejoin unless you have to.
  4. When you are admitted, make sure your camera and microphone are on, greet the panel and introduce yourself.

What to prepare

Tick things off as you go. Your checkmarks are saved in this browser.

  • A phone or computer in good condition, fully charged (plugged in is better).
  • A working camera and microphone, plus a headset.
  • A strong internet connection, with a backup such as mobile data on your phone.
  • Paper and a pen.
  • The originals of all your documents and your passport. You may be asked to show them on camera.

Rules during the interview

  • Be in a quiet place, and alone.
  • Getting help from anyone else or using outside materials is not allowed. It can get your nomination cancelled.
  • The interview is recorded, and passing it is a condition for final admission.
Don’t take chances: no one prompting you off-camera and no notes on screen. The recording is reviewed, so a nomination can be cancelled even after the interview ends.

How to pass: our advice

The university does not publish a full list of questions. Here is what these scholarship interviews usually check, and how to prepare.

The day before

  • Open the link and check that Teams loads and your camera and microphone work. Do a test video call with a friend.
  • Set your display name in the required format now, so you don’t lose time on the morning.
  • Put your passport, school certificate, transcript and the other application documents within reach.
  • Reread your application: your major, education details and contact details. What you say should match it.
  • Choose your spot: a quiet room with a plain, light background, and light falling on your face, not from behind you.

Question trainer

Press “Random question”, answer out loud in Arabic, then open the card and compare with the sample. Replace the words in brackets with your own details.

Tell us about yourself.

Name, age, country, city, family: two or three sentences.

Where did you study, and when did you graduate?

The year and grades must match the certificate you uploaded.

Why do you want to study in Saudi Arabia?

Speak for yourself: the language, strong education, living near the Two Holy Mosques.

Why Majmaah University?

Look at the university website and mention one specific detail, such as a college or program.

Why this major, and what do you want to do after graduating?

The major must match the one in your application.

How did you learn Arabic?

Be honest about your level. Speaking slowly is fine as long as you are clear.

What do you know about the city of Al-Majmaah?

One or two facts are enough: it is in the Riyadh region, north of the capital.

Will you follow the university’s rules and the laws of the Kingdom?

Keep it short and confident.

How much of the Quran have you memorized?

Be honest. You may be asked to recite a few verses, so revise the surah you know best.

Keep answers short, 3–5 sentences each. Practise them out loud a few times, but don’t memorize them word for word, because the panel wants to hear you speak naturally.

During the interview

  • Open with “السلام عليكم” and introduce yourself.
  • Dress neatly and modestly, as you would for an in-person university meeting.
  • Look at the camera, speak calmly and clearly, and don’t interrupt.
  • If you don’t understand a question, politely ask them to repeat it: “لو سمحت، هل يمكن أن تعيد السؤال؟”. That is better than guessing.
  • If you don’t know an answer, say so honestly. Don’t make things up, because your answers are checked against your application and documents.
  • Put your phone on silent and turn off notifications on your computer.
  • If the connection drops, rejoin straight away with the same link and the same name.
  • At the end, thank the panel: “جزاكم الله خيرًا”.

When to expect the result

The university says the result will appear in your Study in Saudi account within 5 working days. The Saudi working week runs Sunday to Thursday, so for an interview on 4 October that means roughly by 11 October.

Haven’t received an invitation?

  • Check the email address from your application, including the spam folder, and messages to the phone number you gave.
  • Log in to Study in Saudi and check the status of your Majmaah application.
  • If you applied through YUSR, message us and we will help with your case.

Apply again: 5 days to the deadline

The Study in Saudi application window for this semester is open now. Applications close on 6 October 2026, 5 days from today.

  • Waiting for a final decision from Majmaah? You can apply again this semester too, and we recommend it. Only 2 of more than 60 students have received final admission so far, so a new application is a backup in case Majmaah doesn’t work out.
  • Everyone else: if you haven’t applied yet, don’t leave it to the last minute. The platform gets overloaded in the final days, and checking documents takes time.
In short: the interview on 4 October decides whether you get final admission. Prepare your device, documents and answers, join under the correct name, and be ready to wait. And don’t miss the current application window, which closes on 6 October. Apply with YUSR · WhatsApp +7 993 921-94-76 · Telegram @yusr_edu
