Free study in Saudi Arabia for international students comes through a fully funded government scholarship: tuition, a monthly stipend, housing and healthcare. Admission goes through Study in Saudi — the official platform of the Saudi Ministry of Education — and YUSR Education has opened pre-registration for the next intake.
What pre-registration is and why it matters
Study in Saudi accepts applications in short windows. The last one ran from 16 September to 6 October 2026 — three weeks for the whole world. Those who prepare in advance apply in the first hours. Those who don’t are hunting for a police clearance certificate on the last evening.

How much does it cost to study in Saudi Arabia as an international student?
On government scholarship tracks tuition is free. Students receive a monthly stipend from 840 SAR (~$250), a free dormitory or help with housing, and healthcare throughout their studies.
What is pre-registration for Study in Saudi?
It is your place in the YUSR queue before the official Study in Saudi portal opens. We collect, check and translate your documents in advance and submit your application in the first hours of the intake.
When does the next Study in Saudi window open?
The dates are announced by the official Study in Saudi platform. The last window ran from 16 September to 6 October 2026. Everyone who pre-registers with YUSR is notified when the portal opens.
How do I apply to the Islamic University of Madinah?
Through the official Study in Saudi platform: one application covers up to 25 fields, including the Islamic University of Madinah. YUSR prepares your documents and submits in the first hours after the portal opens.
Which documents are required?
A 4×6 photo on a white background, your school certificate or diploma (all pages in one PDF), your passport and a police clearance certificate. A medical certificate, Tazkiyah, CV and certificates are strongly recommended.
Do I need to know Arabic?
No. There are Arabic and English tracks, and a preparatory language program (up to 2 years) for beginners.
Does YUSR guarantee admission?
No. Admission is decided by the university and the ministry. In past intakes more than 25% of the applications we submitted received initial acceptance.
