Students admitted to the Institute for Teaching Arabic to Non-Native Speakers will study online for a full academic year — then, if they meet the requirements, they can come to Madinah

The Islamic University of Madinah has clarified the arrangement for students admitted to the Institute for Teaching Arabic to Non-Native Speakers: the first academic year will be remote. The aim is to develop their Arabic and prepare them for university study. At the same time, the university has started issuing university ID numbers and temporary passwords so that remote classes can begin as soon as possible.
For many applicants, this is welcome news amid the wave of rejections on Study in Saudi: those accepted specifically to this institute are already being given access to the university’s electronic services.
How the year of study will work
Admitted students at the Institute for Teaching Arabic to Non-Native Speakers will study remotely for a full academic year. The university states the purpose clearly: to develop Arabic-language skills and prepare students for university study.
After that year, students may come to the university. Arrival depends on whether the student:
- attended regularly and stayed consistent through the year;
- followed the program;
- achieved the required results.
Good news amid the rejections: IDs and passwords are arriving
For students admitted to the Arabic Language Institute, the Islamic University has started issuing university numbers and passwords. This is preparation for remote study to begin shortly.
The admission-confirmation notice says the university number has already been issued, and that the username and password for the electronic-services portal are in the email the student submitted with the application. The dashboard link is eservices.iu.edu.sa/Dashboard.

- Save your university number and temporary password. Do not post them or share them with others.
- Sign in at sso.iu.edu.sa and open the electronic-services portal.
- Follow the timetable and program requirements: attendance and results this year will affect both the chance to come to Madinah and next year’s admission review.
